I mean, cooking is fantasic if you want to give a gift to someone, but other than that I don’t really see cooking as a good investment. I have not unlocked all of the dishes yet, so maybe there are some cloking have a high value, but from everything I’ve unlocked thus far I don’t see cooking as a good idea for making money.

I made some meager profits by crafting tortillas. Would be cool If ConcernedApe make an overhaul of cooking to make it viable. I was really hoping that cooking allowed the player to get SOME type of money considering you have to I don’t know. I understand that this project was accomplished by one person, and It’s a really fantastic game. However, I wish that cooking was, in some way, profitable. I guess possibly adding a mini game to cooking that would directly impact your food’s ranking would be cool.

Like, a gold star dish would sell for maybe 1. A silver star dish would sell for 1. A normal dish would sell at cost. Maybe make it so that cooking has its own skill tree that made the cqn game easier. At this point I’m basically hoping someone comes along, reads this post, and considers putting these ideas into a mod for the game because I know what I’m asking would take an insane amount of time to actually integrate into the base game.

That being said, you are or should be making farming the ingredients. I think there could be a balance struck, i. Or perhaps even only profit if you farmed the ingredients yourself, no or very little profit if you bought the mpney.

Gives you another play style and dimension to your characters story, if you choose. Some farms do go a step further than just the cqn. In fact maybe with added content in the future the Dev could consider letting us open our own Farm Restaurant, again, that’s not unheard of in the world of farming.

Perhaps it would be a nice option to have as a post 2nd year thing, like maybe it could be something you can really only fully achieve when the main story is.

I know that the creator doesn’t want cooking to be a significant money maker or focus but It could even be as simple as your own farm stand.

Maybe the farm stand would only be available to you once you’ve completed the «Gourmet Chef» achievement? It could also be something that you only use in, perhaps, the summer season?

Or it could open late in the game That would certainly make it more of a reach goal which is something I definitely need as I close in on year 5.

PS: I was cookng bit sad when I realized that the hat rewarded for the Gourmet Chef achievement is a green archer’s cap.
